RULES AND REGULATIONS:
CONDUCT A serious violation of the Rules and Regulations or any conduct which tends to endanger the good order, character or welfare of the club or render a person unfit or undesirable as a member may subject the person to suspension of privileges or expulsion. All members are asked to conduct themselves in a way that is respectful to the game of golf in dress, actions, conduct and language. TEE TIMES Members are allowed to reserve tee times fourteen (14) days prior to their requested date and time. Members are encouraged to reserve tee times early during that two week period so all members may play at their requested time. All members must check in with the Pro Shop before beginning play. All players need to check in at least ten minutes before their tee time or they will be subject to being moved to the next unreserved time. HOLE IN ONE CLUB All members aged 21 and over are invited to participate in the Hole-in-One Club. The request to join the club must be in writing with date of request. This members only group rewards participating members with a jackpot) based on number of hole in one participants at the time of the Hole in One). The jackpot is intended to cover a ‘/4 barrel of beer with the remaining amount to be given to the person getting the Hole in One in the form of a gift certificate redeemable for pro shop merchandise only. All Hole in Ones must be witnessed by another member, staff member, or other reliable third party. GUESTS All members are allowed to bring guests to the club. Your guests are the members responsibility including ensurement of payment and conduct. (please inquire as to the appropriate charge depending on the day). DRESS CODE WestWinds Golf Club requires proper golf attire on the property at all times. All golfers must wear a collared shirt. Blue jeans and/or denim attire is not allowed. Cut off shorts, sweat pants or any other attire deemed inappropriate by WestWinds staff is not allowed. Juniors must also abide by all dress code rules at all times. Please report dress code violations to the Golf Shop. The Golf Shop staff on duty will be the sole determinant of dress code violations. Office is closed Mondays in the Winter and Christmas Day.
Hours will attempt to coincide with hours of daylight and can be shortened due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. GENERAL GOLF CAR RULES Golfers who have a valid driver’s license and are age 18 and over are permitted to rent a golf car at WestWinds Golf club. Members are responsible for the actions of their guests. Members are also responsible for any action or damage caused by themselves or their guests who are at the facility. Do not drive golf cars within thirty yards of any green. All carts must be kept on cart paths except when driving to or from the cart path at a ninety degree angle only. All carts must stay on paths on all par 3s at all times. Please respect the lawns and property of the WestWinds homeowners and do not drive your golf car onto owner’s property at any time. Please report any inappropriate car use to the Golf Shop immediately. Abuse to the cars and to the golf course from the use of golf cars may result in member suspension and any and all charges for repairs to car or property damaged. RANGE HOURS AND RULES Range hours for each month vary, but generally correspond with the hours of operation. Range may have to be picked at any time, possibly restricting range use during that duration. Range may need to be picked well before dark, so is subject to closing earlier than fall of darkness. Range is normally closed on Thursday mornings for picking and mowing, although due to weather or other circumstances, that time may have to be altered. Range is open on approximately March 15 th and closes approximately November 15 th. INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY It is the sole responsibility of the player to determine if there is lightening in the area. If there is, you play at your own risk. Golf Magazine has the following recommendations if lightning is in the area: o Put down your clubs, and if you are in an open area, crouch. o If your skin tingles or hair stands on end-an indication the lightening is about to strike-drop to your knees and bend forward. o Do not lie flat on the ground. CANCELLATION POLICY Please do not sign up for a tournament if you know in advance that you cannot play in all possible scheduled rounds or within the full specified time frame. You must notify the golf shop as soon as you find out you cannot participate in any event after signing up. WestWinds Golf Club requires no less than 24 hours notice of cancellation without fee penalty, although 48 hours notice is preferred. Players who withdraw after announced deadlines may still be charged regardless of timing of or reason for withdrawal. ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND NON GOLFING ACTIVITIIES Members, their immediate families, and guests using the club and or the facility do so at their own risk. The club assumes no responsibility for injury or damage resulting wherefrom. Activities unrelated to the game of golf are disallowed on WestWinds Golf Club property by members or non-members at all times. Skateboarding, walking, running, or jogging or any other non-golf activity observed should be reported to the WestWinds staff immediately. MEMBER CHARGING PRIVILIGES Members are billed on a monthly basis for monthly dues and any other charges they may have incurred. Members may pay for services with cash or credit card at time of service. All statement amounts are to be paid at time of receipt and no later the15 th of the month in which the statement was received. All amounts over thirty days are subject to finance charges. Please note: All food and beverage charges are subject to an automatic 18% gratuity charge.
