WestWinds Member’s Only Tournaments
(tenative) Schedule for 2010 Sign up sheets will be in the Pro Shop approximately 3 weeks prior to event*
(Events listed as "tee times, make your own" will have sign ups in shop on day of event only with no advance sign up)
April 24th (Shotgun at 9:00am) *Opening Day Scramble- four person scramble with lunch May 15, 2009 (Tee times, make your own)
Criss Cross Tournament- An individual select hole tournament May 29-31, 2009 (Tee times, make your own)
Red White and Blue Event- 3 Individual day events (play one or all) Different tees each day.
June 12, 2009 (Tee times, make your own)
3 Club event-Select three clubs, add your putter and play June 25-27, 2009 (shotgun five nine hole tournament)
*Member/Guest – 2-Day event with optional practice round on Friday, RSVP ONLY. Separate social event on Saturday night includes entire membership also RSVP ONLY. (Invitations will be sent in May, NO sign up will be allowed before invitations are sent out). Limited field event. July 3, 2008 (Tee times, make your own)
Flag Day Event- an individual handicap event playing the golf course until your handicap runs out, then plant your flag! May take more than 18 holes for some.
July 4 (Tee times, make your own)
Tiger Challenge- one day tournament using your score minus handicap plus one PGA player score chosen before play from Tiger's event that same day.
July 10, 2009 (Tee times, made by shop)ESPN Challenge-two person tournament with gross,net and senior divisions. Winner(s) of local qualifier play in regional event. Winners of regional go to Las Vegas with no entry fee. Dozen Callaway balls and one year subscription to Golf Magazine included in $60 entry fee.
July 24-25, 2009 (Tee times, set by shop, between 7-9am)Member /Member- two person team event with Ryder cup type format August 1-Sept. 1 (Match play with time frames set by shop)*Club Championship-Individual match play tournament based on Handicap
Sept. 4-6, 2009 (Tee times, make your own)
Labor Day Skins-Three day individual event (play one, two or all) with gross/net skins Sept. 11, 2009- (Tee times starting at 7AM for all flights, made by shop)
Club Championship finals-All Champions finals
Sept. 25, 2009 (Tee times starting at 7AM, set by shop)WestWinds Ryder Cup-A two person team event with
6 holes alternate shot, 6 holes best ball, and 6 holes scramble
October 2, 2009 (Shotgun starting at 8:30am)
*WestWinds Medal Play-Final point event of the year with individual stroke Play using handicap to determine overall point total champion. November 13, 2009 (Shotgun starting at 9am)
*Turkey Shoot (end of the year scramble)-3 or 4-person team scramble.
